Our Coffee Farmers

Amue & Pittoon
The heart of P-REX Coffee and Seed of Hope Coffee is found in the Akha Hill Tribe families of Northern Thailand. These farmers live in remote mountain villages where coffee is a main source of income and stability for their families. Many once depended on opium farming or struggled with poverty and limited opportunities. Today, they grow high-quality shade-grown Arabica coffee that thrives in the cool mountain climate.

Joy
Coffee provides these families with the ability to send their children to school, care for basic needs, and build a more secure future. However, challenges remain. Many farmers still lack citizenship, which limits access to services and makes them vulnerable to exploitation. They also face difficulties with unstable markets and unfair pricing, even while producing excellent coffee.

Ryan & Bairak
Seed of Hope Coffee works directly with these farmers year-round. Our team provides training in sustainable farming, helps during harvest and processing, and maintains strong relationships built on trust. Each year, we also spend time working and harvesting alongside the farmers ourselves — strengthening partnerships and sharing in the work.

In The Coffee Farm
Sukrit, Lawpa, Don & Ryan
Through P-REX Coffee in the United States, their beans are roasted and shared with a wider community. All profit returns to Thailand to support the farmers, their families, and the Seed of Hope Project. Every bag of coffee you purchase is directly connected to the hard work and dedication of these farmers.
