OUR ONE GOAL: We have one goal at the Discipleship School, we want you to grow closer to God. All the learning and community practices and academic study is in place for one reason, to draw you deeper into true relationship with God. There is a lot of practices in the church today that we don’t know why we do them, and they don’t draw us any closer to God. We want to engage with and understand practices and traditions of the church in order to deepen our relationship with God. When I lived in Italy coffee became part of my life. I love a good cup of coffee and at JDS, good coffee helps us stay awake in class. This year I met Ryan and Rebecca (Stowell) who run Seed of Hope Coffee based in Northern Thailand. Seed of Hope is more than just a coffee farm. Born out of the need to educate marginalized children, they support a boarding house for Burmese and Akha Hill tribe kids. They offer scholarships for post-secondary education and share the gospel with all the farmers and kids in their care. Jungle Blend coffee is more than just delicious organic arabica coffee, it is supporting good causes. A portion of proceeds goes towards the Jungle Discipleship School and a portion goes to the Seed of Hope Education Fund.
Every Sunday, churches all across the world put out bad, sweatshop coffee. We want to see churches start serving Jungle Blend coffee, to support the mission of JDS and promote a great cause, while offering great coffee to keep people awake during the sermon! JDS Coffee is available on the Jungle Discipleship School website for personal or church orders.
